Camp OUTdoors! History
Camp OUTdoors began in 2008 in Prescott, AZ as a college project of Kado Stewart, Camp Founder & Co-Camp Director. Hundreds of amazing volunteers have helped create the magic that is Camp OUTdoors since 2008. Dani Logan, Co-Camp Director, began as a volunteer in 2013 and became a Co-Camp Director in 2017. Dani has helped to catalyze the program forward each year since!
In 2017, Camp OUTdoors was showcased in the National Geographic Documentary, Gender Revolution; A Journey with Katie Couric and has received media coverage since inception for being a leader in creating safe and brave spaces for and with LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.
